This 1924 bungalow in Louisville's Germantown neighborhood presented a classic challenge: how to modernize a home with a tight budget and a tiny footprint without losing its inherent charm. I served as both project manager and lead designer for this project that utilized smart structural changes and intentional material choices to breathe new light and functionality into the space. By knocking down walls to create an open flow, recessing storage to maximize square footage, and integrating vintage fixtures with modern infrastructure, we transformed this compartmentalized home into a vibrant, highly efficient space that honors its historic roots.
